今回は、Ryusen Masunoが作品の表現に使っている「色鉛筆」についてのお話です。
（前回ブログの続きです。前回ブログ「エネルギー」はこちら）
Ryusen Masunoは「作者が作品に込めたエネルギー」が見る側に伝わった時に感動や刺激が生まれると考えた訳ですが、更にエネルギーを見る側に最大限伝えるにはどうしたらいいか…これを考えていた時に目に留まったのが色鉛筆でした。
色鉛筆って子供から大人まで何かしらの機会で一度は触れたことがあって、距離感が近いというか、誰でも知っている画材ですよね？
なので、色鉛筆ってこういうものという「共通認識」が誰とでもできる気がしました。
共通認識がある色鉛筆を使うことで、作品と見る側との距離が一層縮まって、作品に込めたエネルギーがよりダイレクトに見る側に伝わるのではと考えました。
更に色鉛筆は、いつでもどこでも制作に移れるカジュアルさや、作画イメージの具現化にも凄くマッチしていたというところも、画材選択の重要な要素であり、作品に込めたエネルギーの伝達手段としてベストの選択だったという訳ですね。

This time, I would like to talk about the "colored pencils" that Ryusen Masuno uses to express his works.

Ryusen Masuno thought that when the "energy put into the work by the author" was conveyed to the viewer, it would create a feeling of excitement and stimulation. It was colored pencils that caught my eye when I was in the middle of the day.
Everyone, from children to adults, has touched colored pencils at some point or other, and it's a familiar art tool, right?
So, I felt that everyone could have a “common understanding” of what colored pencils are.
I thought that by using colored pencils, which have a common understanding, the distance between the work and the viewer would be further shortened, and the energy put into the work would be transmitted more directly to the viewer.
In addition, colored pencils are an important factor in selecting painting materials, as they are casual enough to create anytime, anywhere, and they are a great match for embodying the image of drawing. That's what it means.
