今回は販売中の絵本『BE ALL RIGHT』（電子書籍）のあとがきにも書かれていたRyusen Masunoの「ボブ・マーリーとの出会い」についてのお話です。
「ボブ・マーリー」との出会いは、高校時代。
友人の家で聴いた「No Woman,No cry」がきっかけでした。
言わずと知れたレゲエ界のレジェンドアーティストの楽曲ですが、当時のRyusen Masunoは「ボブ・マーリー」はおろかレゲエミュージックすらあまり知りませんでした。
しかし、なぜかこの歌を聴いた瞬間、心が歌声とリズムに共鳴したような感覚になり、体が震えて気づくと涙が溢れていたそうです。
未だに思わず涙するほど心が揺さぶられた正確な理由はわからないということですが、きっとそこには「生きる」ということに対して意識すべき重要な感覚が詰まっていて、それが心に突き刺ったからだと思っているとのことでした。
この強烈な出来事がずっと記憶に残っていたので、ポートレートに取り組むと思った時、第１弾は「ボブ・マーリー」と自然と思ったそうです。

This time we will be talking about Ryusen Masuno's ``Meeting with Bob Marley,'' which was also written in the afterword of the picture book ``BE ALL RIGHT'' (e-book) on sale.
I met Bob Marley when I was in high school.
It all started when I heard "No Woman, No Cry" at a friend's house.
It goes without saying that this is a song by a legendary artist in the reggae world, but at the time, Ryusen Masuno didn't know much about "Bob Marley" or even reggae music.
However, for some reason, the moment she heard this song, she felt as if her heart resonated with the voice and rhythm, her body trembled, and before she realized it, she was in tears.
To this day, I don't know the exact reason why my heart was moved to the point where I burst into tears, but I'm sure it contained important feelings that we should be aware of when it comes to ``living,'' and it pierced my heart. He said he thought it was from the body.
This intense event remained in his memory for a long time, so when he decided to take up portraits, he naturally thought that the first portrait would be ``Bob Marley.''
